Great cooking tool. My only warning is, it is much bigger than it looks (almost a full foot across at the wings). You're going to need a wide pan to use this with!
Description of Nordic Ware Universal Double Boiler
Nordicware's Universal Double Boiler Insert fits 1 to 4 quarts pans, is made of heat conducting aluminum, and features a durable non-stick coating for easy release and clean-up. Unlike a stainless steel or glass bowl, the universal double boiler has ridges that seat it securely in each size pan. This means it doesn't dangerously wobble around, and you don't have to hold it in place. Like all quality Nordicware products its made in the USA and carries a 5 year warranty against workmanship and defects.Cleverly design with a series of concentric grooves, this conical double boiler insert fits any pot or pan that's 6 to 9 inches in diameter or 1 to 4 quarts in capacity. The double boiler itself holds 2 quarts. Designed for gently heating delicate sauces or for melting cheese or chocolate, the boiler is made of aluminum and has a nonstick interior so it easily releases foods and cleans effortlessly.
